The dynamic tandem of the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, have supported one another the entire season. That was made clear on Thursday night when, following the Fever’s 89-77 loss to the Seattle Storm, Clark attempted to draw attention to her teammate during a postgame news conference.

Boston and Clark shared the podium, but initially, all eyes were on the rookie. She attempted to reroute reporters toward Boston, who was sitting quietly and gazing at the stat sheet she was holding, when the reporter asked Clark the sixth question in a row.
“Ask Aliyah a question,” declared Clark.
Boston seemed resigned, “No, I’m good,” but Clark persisted.
Boston was the next reporter to ask a question regarding practice, and then a few more.
This season, Indiana would only visit Seattle twice, therefore Thursday was the second and last time Indiana would come there to play. Although the occasion was difficult, it was somewhat expected because Seattle journalists had only had the opportunity to interview Clark twice. Nevertheless, the awkward circumstance finally ended.
The last two No. 1 overall picks, Boston and Clark, have developed into a potent combination on the Fever and have complimented one another all season long. Even though the youngster has received more attention, Boston, the winner of youngster of the Year and a vital member of the Fever on both sides of the court, has frequently been the target of Clark’s attention-grabbing attempts.
Following their defeat on Thursday and a close loss to the Chicago Sky the previous weekend, Indiana’s record is 7-12 and they are ranked ninth in the WNBA. On Sunday, the Fever take on the 9-8 Phoenix Mercury in an attempt to snap their losing streak.
